Basic Testing of ITpipes Mobile

Once ITpipes Mobile has been setup it is recommended that it be tested to verify functionality.

Do the following to do a basic test of ITpipes Mobile:

  1. From the Project View select .

  2. Selectto create a new asset.

  3. Fill out the required Asset header fields in the data entry, if applicable.

  4. Selectto start a new inspection.

  5. Fill out the required Inspection header fields in the data entry, if applicable.

  6. Select to start recording.

  7. While either driving the camera unit or pulling the cable out, make several observations by doing the following:

    1. To achieve desired codes, select Group, Descriptor, and Modifier options from the individual drop downs.

    2. Input the distance of the observation in the distance field.

    3. To achieve desired codes regarding NASSCO templates: Access Point Manhole: We can select the "AMH" code in the Observation List, ensure that the Distance is marked "0", add Remarks, and single-click the orange check once finished to add the code. Miscellaneous Water Level: We can then select the "MWL" code in the Observation List, ensure the Distance is marked "0", add the Percentage and Remarks, and single-click the orange check to add that code as well. Ending Access Point Manhole: As we end the inspection and all Observation codes have been added, we can select the "AMH" code once more, add the Distance and/or Remarks, and single-click the orange check to finish the Inspection.

    4. Input Value 1st dimension, Value 2nd dimension, Value Percent, Joint, and Continuous. Note: These options are per code and will change with each code. Required fields are marked with a red.

    5. Either select the From clock position and/or To clock position from the drop downs or on the clock image.

      1. Left click provides the From clock position.

      2. Right click provides the To clock position.

    6. Input remarks if desired.

    7. Once completed select to save the observation. Note: The snapshot that will be taken, will be from the video’s current location.

  8. Select to stop the recording. Once this is selected ITpipes Mobile will go to Inspection Review.

  9. Selectto proceed back to Asset.

  10. Verify that video and snapshots exist under the media panel.
