Purpose: The purpose of this document is to inform ITpipes users of the upcoming ITpipes Web and Mobile software updates included in the June 2025, 1.6 release.
ITpipes Web 1.6 Updates
Web Version 1.6 delivers meaningful upgrades to the ITpipes Web platform, focusing on enhanced reporting capabilities, tighter integration with Cityworks, performance enhancements, Sync reliability, improved EntraID authentication, improved export, download and general usability for daily workflows. Highlights of this update include:

Support for Lateral asset types, allowing them to upload to and download from Cityworks

| Enhanced work order sync process with Cityworks |
Fixed certain workflows that could improperly re-open the work order status in ITpipes Web upon sync

| Improvements to EntraID authentication, ensuring that active users logged in through EntraID are no longer logged out during a 30-minute activity window |

| A new loading animation when videos take longer than expected to load in the inspection view |

| Cartegraph inspection field mapping improvements |
Inspections using the Cartegraph DepartmentField field can now be mapped and uploaded without issue |

Expanded support for multiple IPF file versions in Pano Viewer;

IBAK Panoramo scanning camera files (.ipf) are now more supported in the pano viewer |
| Template file access |
Users assigned to a group, but not directly to a project, can now download template file names without issue |

ITpipes Mobile 1.6 Updates
Mobile Version 1.6 delivers significant improvements to app performance, syncing behavior and efficiency, system stability, new video format enforcement, improved AMS integration. This release also focuses on streamlining inspection workflows, enhancing data visibility, and boosting user confidence with more responsive syncing and support tools. Highlights of this update include:

A redesigned Support button now directs users to Zendesk for quick access to help articles, release notes, troubleshooting guides, and TeamViewer for remote assistance
A new network icon displays real-time network connection strength, helping users make informed decisions about syncing based on connectivity

| The updated Sync Project button under Tools gives users greater flexibility and control over inspection and media syncing, including options to exclude videos or upload specific inspections |

| Updated video settings to filter out non-native aspect ratios as well as defaulting the video capture format to MP4 |

| Work order enforcement, where users are now required to inspect existing open work orders before creating new inspections, reducing duplication and improving data integrity across AMS’s and ITpipes Web |
Open Work Orders: Users are now required to inspect existing open work orders originating from ITpipes Web or an AMS before creating a new inspection. This ensures that any inspection with a WO_Status of "Open" and missing observations or videos is prioritized for review. If multiple open inspections exist, the oldest one will be selected automatically |
| Cityworks Field Mapping Improvements |
CompletedBy Field Mapping: The CompletedBy field for Work Orders can now be mapped to the Operator name, improving documentation accuracy and integration with Cityworks |
